Hey everybody, welcome to Midpoint Saloon! We are super excited to have you here, you’re all marvelous people and have brought us a great cast of characters to torment play with :D

The intro log is now up RIGHT HERE for you to get to know your teams in a cozy, intimate setting… if you can call it that... and tonight the first broad mingle for everybody, at the actual town of Midpoint, will go up for everyone not on the same team to scope out the competition and maybe make some friends. Or enemies. Whatever! We’re not picky!

The main event logs for this round will go up on Monday, after giving you lovely folks time to acclimate to the setting and tag around a little. So no need to rush to the site of your scheduled misdeeds, there will be plenty of time for that.

Feel free to use this post to introduce yourselves! I know not everybody here knows everybody else yet, since you’ve been pulled from a few disparate places by your connection to the mods. Also feel free to ask us any questions you’d like, we made a thread for it below :) Questions directly related to your team missions can go on the Round 84 and Round 85 info posts.

o/ I'm Morgan, and I'm sure I don't know anyone else in this game, so hello! I'm here with Jiro Azuma from Black Torch, which is an obscure and tiny canon. So, there's a lot of tl;dr info on the journal for references if wanted.

Jiro's a rude fight boy possessed by a cat demon named Rago (a mononoke). Pretty much constantly irritated and easy to provoke. While he's a good person in terms of morality and the like, he's kind of a dick and prone to crude language and liberal insult slinging. Definitely a "punch first, don't bother asking questions" type. After the possession, he was forced to work for a government spy organization that dealt with mononoke. It's basically Men in Black, but with demons.

He can talk to animals, so I guess horse whispering is a thing if needed. He also has some undefined destructive demony powers (see info) from the possession. The demon controls them while they're together, and as he's not able to leave Jiro's body because of game mechanics, they'll work when Rago wants them to and not when Jiro does. Shenanigans.

I have no plans, as usual. I just wing it. My plurk is hylidae - feel free to add since this is a small game that will require some coordination with things maybe. PMing is also fine.

And yes, this is not the journal most of you will recognize (Bucky/Soldat is over on worthallthis and he’s coming to play plenty, too), but I am also bringing you the smallest and most lovable jerk of the MCU, Rocket! He and Groot are veteran PCs and are here to not be of much help to anyone but themselves. Probably.

Hello everyone! I'm Melly and I'm GMT +8, meaning I'm from the future and I'm usually the opposite hours of you all. (For example- it is 3:47 AM on my end.) My plurk is prognostic and you're free to add me if you want. Just have information on your Plurk profile of Midpoint or something so I know we're both in the same game. So-! I'll be playing an original character of mine, Daylight vis Lornlit. Feel free to call him Daylight, he feels more comfortable with that. :>

Information about him can be found over here since I'm still trying to spruce up his journal for the game but the rundown is this: He's from a sci-fi setting, set in a universe that is still feeling the effects of an intergalactic war spanning for millenniums. Originally brought up to be sacrificed for the greater good, Day, through growing up and learning tough lessons and making precious friends, realised he doesn't need to do that and bucked against expectations. Like, super hard.

I'm specifically taking Day from post-canon when everything has been resolved and he was focused on helping out with his best friend's ceremony before finding himself here. He's a friendly, laid-back guy who doesn't want to start a fight but will end it if he's got to end it. He's all about being a team player for the group and completing the goal, long as no one gets hurt.

Hi, I'm Zoe and I'm bringing in Quicksword Irene from Claymore. Irene is a former warrior who deserted the Organization who'd created/augmented her, after a disastrous attempt to apprehend and execute another deserter that caused one of her team to lose control and turn into a cannibalistic monster, resulting in the deaths of Irene's entire remaining team, Irene's own near-death and the loss of her arm, the traumatization of the little girl who'd been traveling with the deserter they'd been hunting, and the death of the aforementioned deserter. Mission... accomplished?

Irene tends to come off as cold and reserved, and pretty much permanently Done With Everyone's Shit. This does not stop her from being extra in her own special way, though (there's a reason her journal name is 'givemyrightarm' even though her left is the one that's missing). Despite her disability, she remains a formidable fighter. Whether the Quicksword will be effective against bullets, however, is a yet unanswered question.

I'm Erica bouncyerbear and I am bringing in an old favorite of mine out of retirement: Sam Wilson from the MCU. Specifically he's from a kind of nebulous post-Civil War and pre-Infinity War time frame (I debated it a bit, this just seemed easier for me). So he has no idea what's coming with a certain purple murder guy, but was an Avenger for, like, a year maybe -- MCU timeline is weird, even before we got into time travel?

Anyway, he's a former soldier, a former hero, current fugitive from the law, and unfortunately does not have the "bird costume" with him at the moment...but he does have a horse so that's...cool. I guess. He has been here for at least one previous round so still new, but not, new-new. Meaning he may still struggle a bit with this whole western thing, but it is what it is.

Look, pre-Infinity War sounds like an easier way of handling anything MCU. I've got a guy who fights monsters (using a transformation into an armored form and a longbow he uses as a bludgeon), looking forward to throwing him at Sam.

Raven here, knower of...probably only a few people? Mostly in ITN-passing? And player of one Misty Day, your resident Cajun swamp witch. She's on the heels of some crau setting that didn't do her many favors, but I think she's loosened up considerably in Midpoint. They're horrible, but still living out some cowboy fantasies. Gotta appreciate the little things! Been to worse places! She's only a handful of rounds in, so she feels you, newbies. In general she's easy going if simultaneously a little intense, real tired of dying, a little starved for socialization. Very Tired Golden Retriever Energy. There's also a handful of nifty powers/magic on the whole - listed in-journal, but I'll probably toss up a Midpoint-specific permissions regarding a particular ability to get a read on the ~relative Evil/vibe of one's soul. (AHS is, if you were not already aware, wild as hell.) It's more socially relevant than outcome-of-round relevant; just fun to have.

EST, contact information's also in the journal, and the only fun fact I've got is I was a part of the meme this game sprung from, look how it's grown! No goals in mind for Misty, just playing things by ear and having a hopefully good, chill time.

She's post-BDM but pre-Leaves On The Wind because I apped her to the game she's a CRAU from concurrent to its release (and also I think her characterization in it is stupid). She's been spending the past IC year or so doing tons of new things like working as an accountant, getting murdered by minor nobles, and sleeping with the best man at Kaylee’s wedding. She's loosened up a lot but I think a lot of the people here are still going to wind up testing her patience, lmao.

Hey, I'm Airdra and I bring you one (1) Kamen Rider and his youthful ward shapeshifting talking mantis sidekick he picked up in his last game, Synodiporia. Hajime transforms into an armored form to fight [insert thing that needs to be fought here and a few things that do not need to be fought but get fought anyway] and Ryo basically just wants to be everyone's friend and help Hajime take down bad guys. Together, they...fight crime?

I have no idea what I am doing other than cruising for shenanigans, and I can be found to plot out such shenanigans on plurk at Airdra or Discord at Airdra#2608.

Hey all! I'm PG, and I'm bringing in Sara Lance from Legends of Tomorrow, which is part of the CW Arrowverse.

Sara is an assassin turned captain of a timeship and its associated team of misfits, and is coming in from episode 5.11, better known as the one where the team prevents Romeo and Juliet from being a superhero story (or: the one where half the team fucks up and changes time so Romeo and Juliet is briefly a superhero story). So while she will not particularly appreciate being stuck in the Wild West Hunger Games, it's also not the weirdest thing she's ever had to deal with before her morning coffee.

omg how am i so late to this Hi, I'm co-mod Maniette! I'm mostly in charge of HTML, setting up pages and generally bouncing ideas, but also half of the NPCs, including the general shop's owner (of sorts), Booker!

For my own actual self, I'll be playing Fuwa Isamu from Kamen Rider Zero One, a wolf-themed idiot with an android AI unwittingly installed in his brain that lets him use his armour (and who recently attained free will! so that's fun)! He's a trained paramilitary troop commander, and a terrifyingly accurate shot with any handgun he can get his hands on. Surprisingly chill unless he's wound up, which... is all the time, here. Welp.

He's been here for about 3-4 months now, and has fallen into this place's routine, but he's still ready to fight and fuck up the people in charge. Apart from getting into increasingly short-sighted fights, though, I've got no real plans, so hit me up at Maniette and we'll see what we can get our characters up to!
